“Didn’t we do well.”

The pet show was a riot of tail wagging, panting pooches and hyperactive hamsters. The best-behaved pet had to be the African snail who waited obediently (and probably in great fear) inside his shell, hoping no doubt that he wouldn't be trampled on by the many entrants. The two miniature ponies were also impeccably behaved and so a good time was had by all.

Meanwhile, all the coconuts were won very quickly and Beat the Goalie was beaten quite a lot. Lots of toys and books exchanged hands and the tea and cake stall was popular with hardly a crumb left over. The daddies did a fine job on the barbecue and burgers and hot-dogs went down a treat. Tattoos were tattooed and nails painted, faces too... a riot of colour, what fun!
