The school is open from 8.00 a.m. and registration is at 8.40 followed by assembly on 3 days of the week at 8.45. The vicar visits regularly to conduct assemblies and classes also enjoy taking an assembly once a term.
Children may bring a healthy snack for break time. We do not allow crisps or sweets but positively encourage fruit. From Kindergarten onwards children enjoy a cooked lunch prepared from an imaginative menu, which is carefully planned to provide a well balanced diet. There is always a salad option and on most days bread and butter is also available alongside the main meal. |

Our food is supplied by local suppliers as far as we are able (milk, yoghurt etc from a local dairy and many Kent grown vegetables and fruit.) Seasonal produce from the school vegetable garden and orchard also supplement the lunches. At the end of the day, 3.30 for the pre prep and 4.00 for the prep department, children may be collected either from their classrooms or from the Front Hall. However, many children choose to stay for clubs or homework class and may be picked up at any time up to 5.45 p.m. |

“All three of our girls have been so happy at Bricklehurst and we will leave with some wonderful and very fond memories.”
We have four Houses at Bricklehurst and children are allocated to a House as soon as they arrive here. Chartwell, Scotney, Pashley and Bateman’s are all famous houses in the area and the children are very keen to work hard to gain merits for their House. The merits are awarded for good work, good manners, good attitude or sporting achievement. There are inter–house activities, including a pancake race on Shrove Tuesday! A large cup is the final prize each year given out at Prize Giving to the winning house. |
